Sound machine

Arduino, laser cutting, servo motor, potentiometer

The title of my sound machine is “$16.09''. It is a wind chime consisting of coins strung and twirled to make clinking noises. The swirling motion is executed by a servo and controlled by a switch and a potentiometer.

The coin wind chime is hung onto the servo arms, which is secured in the top of a “C” shaped stand. The vertical long shaft is hollow and allows wires to run through and connect to the Arduino board, which is placed in the base of the stand. The name “$16.09” originates from the dollar amount of the coins attached to the strings.
